A fake link often borrows real branding and a plausible story. Judge the destination and requested action, not the logo or the sender's confidence.

Perform a message autopsy without clicking

Inspect the visible sender and full destination, watch for misspellings and lookalike domains, and question urgency, secrecy, guaranteed income, threatened suspension, or a payment to a personal account. Search for the same notice inside the account reached independently.

• Do not install files from chats
• Do not scan an unexplained QR code
• Do not disclose passwords, PINs, OTPs, or recovery links

Act quickly if you already interacted

Close the page, disconnect an installed unknown app, change exposed credentials from a trusted device, secure email and SIM, review account and payment history, and report through official channels. Preserve the suspicious URL and messages without revisiting them.
