When an article assignment is available, begin with its live brief rather than a generic draft. A piece can be polished and still fail if it answers a different question, misses the format, or arrives through the wrong submission route.

Decode the assignment card

Note the exact topic, audience, length or format, deadline, file type, sources, and evaluation criteria. Clarify ambiguous requirements through official guidance before investing substantial time.

Build a claim-led outline

List the reader’s main questions and arrange them in a natural order. Draft a direct introduction, evidence-backed body, and conclusion that resolves the opening question. Use descriptive headings rather than repeating the title.

Run originality and delivery checks

Remove unsupported claims, copied phrasing, filler, and private information. Proofread the rendered format, submit once, and preserve the confirmation or error without repeatedly uploading.

Write to the assignment that exists now, then retain enough evidence to show what you submitted and when.
