A strong article is built around one reader need, not padded around a keyword. Before drafting, define the question the piece will answer and the evidence a reader would need to trust that answer.

Turn the prompt into a working brief

Extract the topic, audience, required length, format, deadline, prohibited material, and submission method from the live instructions. Write a one-sentence promise that keeps the draft focused.

Research first, then draft in your own structure

Use current, reputable sources for factual claims and keep citation details. Build an outline that moves from context to useful action. Paraphrase from understanding; do not patch together copied sentences.

• Give each section one job
• Use examples that clarify
• Attribute facts and quotations

Edit in separate passes

First check logic and missing evidence, then clarity and repetition, then grammar and formatting. Compare the final file with the live brief and keep a local copy or submission reference.

Useful writing survives a simple test: a reader can state what changed in their understanding after finishing it.
